About the role - We are looking for an energetic, empathetic and community-minded professional to join our Student Wellbeing Team as a Student Wellbeing Officer, responsible for providing general pastoral care and wellbeing support to students.
The Student Wellbeing Officer supports and is a role model for students, enhancing engagement with the broader community and parents. The Student Wellbeing Officer’s focus is on providing effective Tier 1 supports, general strategies and interventions aimed at promoting overall Student wellbeing. The SWO will be working both within and outside the classroom itself.
Qualifications:
Certificate IV qualification in Pastoral Care, Youth Work, equivalent or higher certificate with at least two competencies in mental health, making appropriate referrals, working with young people or cultural awareness and support.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
