Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You’ll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications.
About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced leader with the right balance of people and organisational skills to join our Mining Maintenance team and directly contribute to the successful performance of the mine. You must have strong experience managing a mining maintenance team, supported with formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related trade. In particular, you need to demonstrated capability in operational strategic planning to deliver business outcomes and lead continuous improvement.
You will be an ambassador for safety and actively promote and maintain MRM safety standards and procedures as well as our life-saving behaviours and Safework program. This role will be offered on 5 days on, 2 days off - 4 days on, 3 days off fortnight roster and report directly to the Mining Maintenance Manager.
