  • Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

The Superintendent for Verification and Validation is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the quality assurance, testing and Validation processes and activities within the Product Development team. This role fulfills the leadership for the Verification and Validation team to deliver Verification and Validation of the unified product, ensuring that QA standards are met across deep understanding of best practice in testing and quality assurance, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that aligns with the Agile development methodology; which includes defining the scope of quality assurance activities, developing test plans, and establishing quality metrics.
  • Lead a team of QA engineers and testers, including defining the testing strategies.
  • Lead validation team, defining the team validation strategy, ensuring alignment with program delivery teams expectations.
  • Oversee collaboration with development team, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that QA is embedded into every stage of the software development life cycle; includes collaborating on requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
  • Manage testing activities including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and security testing, including developing test cases, executing tests, and reporting on test results.
  • Continuously improve QA processes by identifying areas for improvement, implementing new tools and processes, and monitoring key quality metrics

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, and supervising/testing code production
  • Strong technical background in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ability to develop and implement quality assurance strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data privacy and security.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and techniques, including automated testing.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Continuous learner with a passion for staying up-to-date with on latest tech and industry trends
