About the project
The Project based at RAAF Darwin will deliver infrastructure replacement and upgrades including an upgrade to the base entry precinct. The project will have touch points with the NT Government, Various Dept of Defence stakeholders, local community groups, businesses and the wider industry in the Darwin region.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Supervisor for the RAAF Darwin Project. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
This role will oversee site wide infrastructure involving the replacement of existing water, sewer and fire hydrant services within an operational base environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct and facilitate daily pre-start meetings with subcontractors
- Conduct and facilitate a daily coordination meeting with subcontractors
- Manage and track Project programs
- Assist project controls
- Manage the 30/60/90-day risk registers, safety performance trackers, KPI
- Supervise civil infrastructure sub-contract packages
- Support the ITP ITR process with inspections and records
- Monitor and manage the daily activities of subcontract packages on-site
- Manage subcontract works in accordance with Laing O'Rourke systems and procedures.
About you
- Previous experience in a Supervisor role, ideally with experience working with a Tier 1 construction company
- Civil and underground services background
- Experience working on a live defence base, preferred not but essential
- Ability to demonstrate a safety-conscious approach to your daily work along with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Lead from the front and encourage collaboration between your team and other departments to allow the best outcomes for the project
- Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of issues are crucial to your ability to interact effectively with the broader team and stakeholders
