As a member of the Lineage team, you are a critical link in the food supply chain.The Asia-Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore employing nearly 3000 team members.As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint an Operations Supervisor to join our Storage & Handling team at our Lurnea facility in Sydney.The roster is an AM shift commencing at 5am, Monday to Friday.The primary focus of this role is to lead and support the team, ensuring the shift operates safely, efficiently and effectively, to meet customer requirements in line with policies and procedures.Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:Safety - supporting and championing a culture of safety, ensuring company safety policies and procedures are implementedCustomer Service - ensuring agreed customer service levels are met on a consistent basis and regularly reviewing and taking corrective actions to address any issuesOperations - managing the operation within agreed contractual parameters to deliver quality customer serviceProductivity - ensuring productivity outcomes are achieved via direct supervision and allocation of tasksTraining - ensuring all staff are trained to operate all machinery/equipment and understand warehouse work systemsCI - seeking out opportunities for continuous improvementLeadership - Providing visible leadership by means of positive interaction, regular communication activities and establishing and reinforcing clear expectationsYour background and experience should ideally include:Extensive experience in a similar role, within the logistics and transport industryExperience leading a small/medium sized teamStrong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issuesAbility to determine manpower and equipment to meet workloads in line with legal and industrial relations frameworkStrong understanding of KPIs, and using them to monitor, improve and manage the operationGood understanding of the relationships between labour costs, productivity and profitabilityExperience working within regulatory frameworksStrong understanding of MHE and traffic managementWhat's exciting about this opportunity?As a values-based organisation, we're focused on providing our team with a safe, respectful and trusting environment where you can hopefully build a rewarding career feeding the communities we serve.We want to set you up for long-term success and so will provide you with the tools, training and support to deliver outstanding outcomes.We will also support your ongoing development and career aspirations, recognise your contributions and give you the opportunity to contribute to our transformation program.Why Lineage?Lineage is more than just a cold storage logistics business.
