Club Ashfield is a social club situated just 10kms from Sydney's CBD. The Club has 4,500 members with excellent trading hours from 9am to 6am, seven days per week. The Club offers a range of facilities and services to its members and guests including dining, functions, entertainment and events, from its two main bars and around 100 gaming machines.
We are now seeking people who understand how to lead others and ensure they and their teams are providing excellence in customer service in the role of Supervisor or Duty Manager. This new person will be under the guidance of the Operations Manager and help manage the club's trading from day to day.

The responsibilities of the position include:
- The effective and efficient day to day operations of the club;
- Supervision of all service delivery staff to ensure high customer service standards and maintained;
- Beverage management and stock control;
- Monitoring staffing levels across the Club to ensure that employees are appropriately allocated according to demand;
- Ensuring employees undertake work in accordance with work health and safety principles;
- Opening and closing of premises and associated security;
- Cash reconciliation and management;
- Setting up of functions, entertainment and other events/activities;
- Provide feedback to the Operations Manager regarding rostering requirements;
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Previous management experience in the Club, Hotel, Restaurant or related hospitality industries would be great;
- A relevant qualification in hospitality management/supervision, or certificate in hospitality (not essential);
- Demonstrated leadership skills;
- Some understanding of Club industry regulatory compliance and governing legislation;
- A work ethic based on integrity;
- Sound level of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Strong time management skills;
- Reasonable understanding of MS office programs;
- Have a very 'hands-on' management style and lead by example.
This position requires a combination of day & night, including midnight shifts, across 7 days, on a 4 week rotating roster.
