Supervisor - Telecommunications

Downer is a leading provider of end-to-end Technology & Communications service solutions, our wireless line of business offers capability across Project Management, RAN design, SAED, construction and integration services for the critical infrastructure of our customers across the Carrier, Transport, Resources, Government, Defence and Utilities sectors.

Downer has been engaged to provide construction services for Greenfields, site upgrades, co-locations, site relocations and transmission upgrades for a major public safety network.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and project support team members, we are seeking a Supervisor to be responsible for Construction teams, either Construction Partners or internal resources, undertaking civil, rigging and technical works ensuring adherence to client specifications and quality standards to ensure works are completed right first time.

Directly reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and management of field resources working across multiple sites across NSW, specifically government radio network sites. The Supervisor will ensure that targets for productivity are met for all sites under their control in accordance with health, safety and quality requirements.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of our office in North Ryde, NSW. The role involves regular travel around all parts of NSW and availability to travel is a mandatory requirement of the role.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous work experience as a Field Supervisor on large scale telecommunications projects with a strong civil, technical or rigging construction background
• Work experience with NSW Government Radio network is desirable
• Demonstrated understanding of design, construction and integration of mobile and/or public safety communications networks (LTE, 5G, P25)
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety related to Civil Construction and rigging works
• Previous experience managing Construction Partners, site works activities and delivery
• Well-developed organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
