About the role
The Supplier Relationship and Performance Analyst supports the contractual operation and Performance between Sydney Water and its digital suppliers across the digital hardware, software and digital services domains. A key component of this role is its focus on stakeholder engagement across all internal and external platforms, fostering strong relationships among suppliers and internal program teams to help them deliver on time with their market needs.
Reporting into the Supplier Relationship and Performance Lead in Sydney Water’s Digital group, you will assist in overseeing end to end supplier contract variations, contract renewals, and purchase order management, as well as contributing to the development of Supplier Performance framework.
You will have the capability to assist with the management of Supplier Relationships and commercial obligations across the broader business. This position has a strong focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes which strengthen the relationship between Sydney Water and its Digital supplier partners.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proactively assist in the management of relationships between Sydney Water and its digital suppliers across the hardware, software, Cloud and services space
- Assist in the management of contract variations, interpretations, and amendments associated with complex, high value, and/or critical Digital contracts
- Commercial obligations and opportunities available ensuring proactive execution of activities and understanding of obligations by the broader stakeholder group.
- Identification and end-to-end management of commercial issue resolution
- Analytical performance data and metrics with delivery of succinct reports
- Contribute to the maturity of and utilise the Supplier Performance Management framework for suppliers ensuring it is working effectively

About You
Sydney Water prides itself on the strong, lasting, and supportive partnerships it builds with its suppliers, and we are looking for someone who can demonstrate passion for providing exceptional levels of engagement and partnership with multiple digital suppliers. You are skilled in both contract management and relationship management, and you have a strong desire to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both Sydney Water and its Digital partners.
You will have prior experience working in the digital industry, with proven experience working across supplier management frameworks, including digital service frameworks and measurement metrics. You will have a strong knowledge of current technology platforms and emerging market trends, and strong influencing capabilities that enable you to build strategic business partnerships.
Your prior experience will include:
- TAFE or equivalent industry experience in financial management or contract management
- Demonstrated experience in digital commercial and supplier performance/ relationship management. Experience assisting with the management of large vendors and implementation partners and complex contractual agreements within a large organisation will be advantageous
- Managing Digital suppliers in a procurement/ performance and relationship capacity
- Strong knowledge of digital market trends from both commercial and scope of service perspectives
- Experience working in the digital industry analysing commercial and Performance aspects of contracts
- Demonstrated proactive stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build relationships across a diverse supplier base
- Knowledge of SAP (procurement and ARIBA) is desirable
