The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager is responsible for managing Consillion’s Supply Chain & Logistics function within the APAC region including procurement of inventory, purchasing of finished goods and spare parts, managing international and local freight and distribution of goods within the region and/or direct to customers in local or overseas markets.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Lead the Supply Chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Direct and coordinate regional Supply Chain functions through a strategy of optimising resources, maximising profitability, and utilising KPIs to drive customer satisfaction.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet changing market demand.
- Develop procurement strategy to reduce material cost and lead time and optimise inventory related working capital.
- Manage local distribution working with warehouse, logistics, projects, sales and service teams to determine, set up and optimise intercompany transfers.
- Work directly with finance, sales and projects departments to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods including transportation to customers.
- Monitor and correct inventory levels at regional and third party warehouses (3PL) to work towards optimal stock rotation thereby ensuring working capital is effectively deployed.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent
- Member of a Supply Chain related industry body
- 8 + years in Supply Chain Management or a related role
- Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Strong negotiation skills
Oracle Netsuite experience will be highly regarded
