About the role
In this dynamic role as a Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the comprehensive operations and processes of a warehouse, ensuring seamless coordination with department staff and direct management. Your strategic oversight will aim to optimise inventory levels, minimise back orders, and identify potential inefficiencies and financial gains. You'll be instrumental in analysing trends through reporting, maintaining ordering protocols, and effectively communicating insights to various sites while managing human resources of the warehouse.
Duties
- Managing warehouse operations and processes, including liaison with department staff and direct management to minimise inventory levels and back orders, and identify inefficiencies and financial gains where possible.
- Lead human resource management for the warehouse services, including recruitment, rostering, leave replacement and performance management functions.
- Monitor non-stock orders and consider products to be added , redirect staff to using HIMF coded items. Look for new products to be added to the defined product catalogue or to be barcoded.
- Capacity to direct operational facets based on strategic and business plans
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with an advanced knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of stores and/or purchasing operations, including use of inventory and stock management software
- Demonstrated ability to meet pre-determined targets and deadlines practicing contemporary Supply Chain principles and responsible management of purchasing
- Computer literacy skills & familiarity with word processing, data management systems & spreadsheets
