The opportunity:
The Supply Planner is a pivotal role within the Symbion Supply Chain team and works in conjunction with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timing and availability of Symbion Consumer Products meet customer and wholesaler demands nationally.
The Supply Planner will cover several functions within the Supply Planning team, with role responsibilities including; collecting, analyzing, and reviewing data and stock forecasts, as well as playing an active role in assisting in the continual improvement of all the supply chain processes including supply planning, inventory optimization, supplier collaboration and adherence to purchasing and delivery schedules.
What you will do:
- Participate in the development of a Supply Chain framework to underpin the growth strategy
- Functional collaboration with multiple suppliers, wholesalers, logistic providers, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure the appropriate flow of information
- Collaborates with the Sales and Marketing team on a robust stock forecasting process, validated through historical data, baseline, planned promotional activity, future NPD, market and seasonal trends, and safety stock
- Supports the robust management of projected inventory planning
- Reviews and provides recommendations on purchase orders
- Ensures weekly, monthly supply, demand, and SOH reports are generated and circulated
- Contributes to bringing together the detail around the S&OP process
- Participates in the slow and obsolete stock management process
- Works towards achieving relevant KPIs targets for each stakeholder, both internal and external, as well as own area's KPIs
- Leads identification of areas for improvement by the identification and execution of performance improvement projects within the role's assigned responsibilities
- Participates in the annual planning process
- Collaborates the development and maintenance of Supply Chain bespoke Programs
- Participates in Supply Chain initiatives and projects directed by line manager
- Key contact and communication pivot between supplier, purchasing and commercial functions
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years in FMCG/Contract manufacturing supply chain planning, inventory or replenishment roles
- Intermediate skills with business software packages; Word, Excel, Access
- Experience with SAP, Orion, Nav experience highly desirable
- Intermediate/Developed analytical, numeracy, problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
- High attention to detail
- High level of demonstrated values from employee
