We are seeking a passionate, proactive and experienced Supply Planner to join our dynamic Operations Team. You will report to the Supply Manager and collaborate closely with each member of the team in executing your role. You will be expected to build strong relationships with your stakeholders to be able to influence effectively and drive change management initiatives.
Based in Huntingdale at our amazing HQ, this position will be responsible for efficient and accurate supply planning for finished goods & packaging, collaborating cross functionally and with key suppliers.
Core responsibilities of the role are:
- Review finished goods & packaging supply requirements and ensure the right stock is available at the right time and at the right price to meet customer orders
- Raise and send purchase orders to packaging suppliers and Co-Manufacturers based on demand, considering safety stock holding, contract agreements, lead times and price breaks
- Provide packaging suppliers and Co-Manufacturers with monthly projected rolling forecasts
- Create finished goods production work orders ensuring the correct packaging artwork versions are maintained
- Manage hard and soft artwork change deadlines with Marketing and QA teams by raising new stock codes, aligning with production work orders and communicating transition dates internally and externally
- Communicate NPD artwork deadlines to ensure timeline is met for launch
- Maintain supply planning master data and contract pricing in our ERP System (SAPB1)
- Review Co-Manufacturer production schedules and packaging supplier stock reports to ensure all call offs and quantities align
- Ensure any changes required to delivery dates or quantities are communicated with both packaging suppliers and Co-Manufacturers
- Run and review MRP exception reports and action stock outs, below safety levels and excess inventory on a daily basis
- Support the Inventory Controller with fortnightly/ monthly packaging cycle count reconciliations and problem solving resolutions
- Support the Inventory Controller and QA team on the NCR process and follow up and action impacts to production
- Review monthly DIFOT reports and perform root cause analysis of DIFOT misses. Work with supply partners during supply meetings to continually improve performance and product availability by developing strategic relationships
- Work closely with packaging suppliers and Co-Manufacturers to maximize production planning and capacity, particularly during peak periods
- Communicate with Marketing and Sales teams potential obsolete packaging due to artwork changes or obsolete SKUs and maintain the EOM stock provision report for Finance
- Provide reports to support Operational KPIs/ tenders, other cross functional projects & contribute to continuous improvement projects
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong Excel skills and experience with using ERP and MRP systems
- FMCG experience highly advantageous
- Sound understanding of logistics, inventory management, and stock management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high level problem solving and analytical skills
- Self motivation and the ability to be a proactive team player, working both autonomously and collaboratively
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, effective time management to meet deadlines and ability to adapt and prioritise
