We are expanding into Queensland to better support our existing clients who now have a significant Queensland presence. Initially, this is a ‘Work from Home’ position with the requirement to attend client sites as needed.
Job Summary:
As a Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in the day to day supporting of cutting-edge solutions for our diverse portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will encompass responding to escalated tickets, understanding client requirements, maintaining M365 applications and services, and ensuring the seamless operation of our clients’ environments.
Your focus will be on delivering an exception support experience to all our clients, and because you are based in Brisbane, you will be the face of Private Universe to our clients in Queensland.
We are looking for someone who would be Level 2-3 in terms of experience with a view to future career development and specialisation.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to understand and assess their business & technology requirements and build tailored solutions to suit these needs.
Configure & maintain Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 services.
Manage user accounts, permissions, licences, and security settings within the M365 environment and within Hybrid AD environments.
Manage cloud and on-prem infrastructure; servers, desktops/laptops, and networking equipment.
Mentor junior team members as needed.
Stay abreast of the latest technologies, features, and industry trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
Proven experience working in an MSP or similar role.
In-depth expertise and hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 services.
Strong understanding of M365 security and compliance features, including MFA, and industry-specific requirements.
Strong Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Active Directory management skills.
Strong technical writing skills (client documentation, knowledgebase articles).
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and automation.
Proficiency with Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and Intune.
Proficiency with Azure cloud infrastructure and serverless applications.
Proficiency with server and SaaS backup software.
VoIP experience, in particular 3CX, will be favourably looked upon.
Sound knowledge of network devices, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points; network protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and related concepts.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with an analytical mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
