About the role
The purpose of the Support Officer role is to provide administrative and coordination support of all activities associated with new arrivals in the intake and arrival stage. This includes monitoring referrals into the program, establishing client records, completing necessary referrals, coordinating essential registrations, maintaining client data and various administrative tasks. The role will work within a collaborative team and works closely with case managers, assistant support workers and other program staff to assist clients.
What you will bring
- Excellent general office administration and records management skills
- Understanding issues affecting people impacted by migration, their vulnerabilities, needs and strengths
- Experience in working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Experience in coordinating, training and supporting volunteers
- Sound knowledge and proficiency in use of software applications including databases, client management systems, mobile/tablet applications, and Microsoft suite of programs.
