Support Technician – Miningbalcatta, Wa

As a Support Technician, you will be a crucial part of our Mining Solutions Group, providing support for cutting-edge technology like Fleet Management Systems and high-precision machine guidance. Leveraging your analytical skills and problem-solving mindset, you will play a pivotal role in analysing and resolving issues to help our customers achieve their objectives. This is a full-time permanent position based at our Balcatta office in Perth. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in support, ideally assisting field service technicians Interest in operational technology within the mining industry and emerging products Experience in delivering technical training to field service technicians and customers Understanding of spatial science Proficiency in site networking (Wi-Fi, UHF, VHF, Network RTK) Experience with high-precision machine guidance or Fleet Management Systems (OT) Basic understanding of SQL/MySQL server databases Sound judgment with the ability to balance business and customer needs while paying attention to detail Strong customer service orientation Project administration and leadership skills Key Responsibilities: Provide support internally and externally in the Mining, Landfill, and Solar sectors across various Operational Technology Conduct remote fault finding and systematically resolve issues Perform proactive site checks as scheduled to meet customer requirements Maintain the case management system with detailed updates on all active cases Manage all aspects of pre-delivery, both hardware and software, and process RMA’s Gather, report, and communicate customer feedback on service, technology, and product delivery Ad hoc trips to customer sites may be required About Us: At Position Partners, we empower customers in the mining, construction, and geospatial sectors with cutting-edge technology sourced globally.
