True Will Disability Services, a registered NDIS provider, is currently seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide high-intensity support for our valued participants.
Responsibilities: As a Support Worker at True Will Disability Services, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of services to our participants, including but not limited to:
- Providing complex care and support, especially for individuals with challenging behaviours of concern.
- Offering personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing, and medication administration.
- Assisting with manual handling requirements.
- Performing domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Facilitating transportation needs.
- Encouraging and supporting community engagement activities.
- Providing essential Behaviour and Mental Health Support, including implementing PBSP strategies when required.
- Exhibiting effective management of challenging situations.
Position Requirements: We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experiences:
- Proven experience in providing high-intensity mental health support.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
- Blue Card.
- Certificate to show that you have completed: NDIS worker orientation certificate and certificate for other NDIS modules; infection control training; medication training and manual handling training.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Possession of an Australian Driver Licence and access to a car that you can use for work purpose with comprehensive car insurance.
- Proof of COVID vaccination.
- National Police clearance certificate.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Ownership of a smartphone for client management app use.
Desirable Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are considered advantageous:
- Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care/Disability (or enrolled in).
- Medication and manual handling certificate.
