Support Worker

True Will Disability Services, a registered NDIS provider, is currently seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide high-intensity support for our valued participants.

Responsibilities: As a Support Worker at True Will Disability Services, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of services to our participants, including but not limited to:

• Providing complex care and support, especially for individuals with challenging behaviours of concern.
• Offering personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing, and medication administration.
• Assisting with manual handling requirements.
• Performing domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Facilitating transportation needs.
• Encouraging and supporting community engagement activities.
• Providing essential Behaviour and Mental Health Support, including implementing PBSP strategies when required.
• Exhibiting effective management of challenging situations.

Position Requirements: We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experiences:

• Proven experience in providing high-intensity mental health support.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
• Blue Card.
• Certificate to show that you have completed: NDIS worker orientation certificate and certificate for other NDIS modules; infection control training; medication training and manual handling training. 
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Possession of an Australian Driver Licence and access to a car that you can use for work purpose with comprehensive car insurance.
• Proof of COVID vaccination.
• National Police clearance certificate.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• Ownership of a smartphone for client management app use.

Desirable Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are considered advantageous:

• Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care/Disability (or enrolled in).
• Medication and manual handling certificate.
