About the opportunity
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting clients in their day-to-day living to live as independently as possible in their homes and also ensuring that they have every opportunity to live a meaningful & fulfilling life, with choice & control. The responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist clients in-home with personal hygiene, meal preparation and general housework.
- Assist clients in the community with errands, shopping, appointments, and other social outings.
- Apply practical intervention procedures to manage challenging behaviours.
- Observe and report accurately on any changes in the client's condition.
- Interact with family members and friends and other team members to ensure all care needs are met.
As a Support Worker, you'll play an integral part of the lives of our Aged Care and NDIS clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support
- A flexible and reliable work ethic
- Ideal candidates would have flexibility 5 days per week between 7am – 5:30pm.
- High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect
We also require the following:
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR, or willing to obtain one
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Disability Services (Yellow Card Exemption)
- Working with Children Blue Card
- National Police Check (undertaken within the last 2 years)
- Possession of a current "C" class Drivers Licence is essential, with a good driving record.
- Own vehicle with Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance

How much will I be paid?
You will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 ($30.95 to $31.90 per hour). There are additional penalty rates for weekends and public holidays!
