Workforce Extensions Sunshine Health are looking for reliable, experienced casual Support Workers/ Domestic Assistants to support our new community care services agency.

About the role:
As a Domestic AssistantSupport Worker with WE Sunshine Health you will be required to provide assistance to elderly clients living at home, through the promotion of independence and choice. You will deliver high quality assistance to clients using a person-centered approach. A successful candidate will maintain compliance of standards, adhere to organizational policies and procedures whilst promoting the core values of WE Sunshine Health. Examples of key responsibilities:
- Assisting with domestic duties and household chores including washing, ironing, vacuuming, dusting
- Assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and community engagement.
- Follow the clients care plan.
- Maintain and ensure completion of documentation, while maintaining confidentiality.
To be considered:
- You will ideally have demonstrated experience in supporting the elderly including the provision of domestic assistance.
- Possess a compassionate, empathetic, and caring nature with a genuine interest in respecting the uniqueness of each individual and their wants and needs.
- Are self-motivated, have a positive work ethic and importantly have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Display a positive attitude, are consistently dependable, honest always, adhere to safe work practices and understand and work within professional boundaries.
- Have the physical capability to carry out a range of manual tasks.
Successful applicants must have:
- National Police check. (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening check.
- Driver’s licence and a registered and reliable car with CTP Insurance.
- Right to Work in Australia.
- COVID-19 Digital Vaccination Certificate.
- Flu Vaccine
- CPR/ First Aid (preferred)
