About the Role
Making Lives Better® and Happier Ageing® are at the heart of what we do — enabling members of our ageing and disabled community to live a fulfilling life at home as long as possible, doing what they love to do.
We provide around-the-clock care, so visits may be scheduled early morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight to meet our client's needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide a premium care experience to our clients that is genuine, compassionate and personalised;
- Assist clients (e.g. NDIS ‘Standard’) with activities of daily living including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transport, and companionship;
- Assist clients (e.g. NDIS ‘High Intensity’) with medication administration, PEG feeding, oral suctioning, seizure management, managing challenging behaviours and/ or other high care tasks undertaken in accordance with clinical policies and approved DoC framework;
- Deliver care in accordance with the client's care plan that has been developed by a Registered Nurse;
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly;
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Skills & Experience
- Passionate about making a difference.
- A self-led leader with the ability to take responsibility for their own behaviour & success.
- Coachable
- Previous caregiving experience is an asset.
- Must be able to speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset!
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to management when needed.
- Reliable way to get to and from the client's homes.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum Certificate III in either: Aged Care, Community, Individual Support or Disability, or extensive industry experience (i.e. equivalent to certificate III)
- National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- Working With Children Check (e.g. QLD ‘Blue Card’)
- NDIS Worker Screener Clearance (e.g. QLD ‘Yellow Card’)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
- Current Driver’s licence + your own reliable vehicle
