ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking positive, intuitive and strong role models who are able to make a commitment to the organisation and understand that consistency in supports is vital to people being supported to fill the position of Support Worker.
This may include:
- Supporting individuals to achieve and maintain independence in everyday life, developing and learning new skills.
- Connecting individuals to the community through groups, clubs, recreational and sport.
- Supporting individuals to learn and use public transport.
- Supporting individuals to explore open employment opportunities, finding and keeping a job.
- Collaborating with key people in an individual’s life, including family members, employers to achieve the best outcomes.
- Role model and advocate for people with a disability living in the community.
- Administration tasks such as writing case notes, entering timesheets and organising supports.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Having creativity and out-the-box thinking.
- Ability to adapt your mentorship to people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to be flexible and adapt to individual needs.
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Flexibility with hours is essential, dependent on the clients needs, this may include weekend work.

- Support work
SELECTION PROCESS:
Shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited to an interview. You will be required to participate and cooperate in pre-employment assessments and reference checking.
Applicants must have and be will obtain the follow prior to appointment of position:
- NDIS Working screening check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- QLD Driver’s license
- Blue card (working with children check)
- Proof of Covid vaccination as per Queensland Government Mandate.
THE RIGHT FIT:
Prior work related experience is not necessary. We do acknowledge that life experience can give people the skills it takes to be an effective staff member.
