About the role
As an overnight Support Worker, you have the chance to integrate into our customers' daily routines and become their steadfast support system. Our overnight Support Workers are often likened to family or close friends, as they get to celebrate daily achievements and milestones.
Based in West Busselton, this position is open to female candidates only and will be a 12+ month parental leave contract. This is an Overnight Sleep roster of 70 hours per fortnight. Please note that for Overnight Sleep shifts, during the sleep period you stay at the accommodation home in your own private room. A typical day in the role may look like:
- Helping customers achieve life goals
- Aiding in the cooking of morning and evening meals
- Dispensing medication
- Providing support with personal care tasks
The ideal candidate will:
- Live locally with full unlimited work rights
- Be qualified in Cert 3 Individual Support/Disability - ESSENTIAL
- 2+ years' experience in disability or aged care is highly desired
- A genuine desire to witness individuals achieving their goals
- A sincere passion for cooking and sharing the kitchen
- Willingness to assist with personal care, including showering and toileting
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Hold a valid driver's licence and be willing to use your private vehicle (with rebates available)
- Base pay rate of $32.41 per hour, plus 15% loading for afternoon/night shifts increasing the hourly rate to $36.27
