As a Supprot Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored support to individuals facing a spectrum of physical and mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

You will be a pivotal figure in delivering specialised support to individuals with complex disabilities. Your expertise will encompass a range of conditions, including but not limited to:
- Brain Injury: Understanding and catering to the unique needs of individuals with brain injuries.
- Autism: Implement strategies to support individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Epilepsy: Address the specific challenges associated with epilepsy.
- Behaviours of Concern: Navigate and manage challenging behaviors with skill and compassion.
- Delusion Disorder: Provide understanding and supportive assistance for individuals experiencing delusional episodes.
- DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder): Offer tailored support for those with DID, ensuring a safe and conducive environment.
- Bipolar Disorder: Implement strategies to assist individuals with mood regulation and overall well-being.
- Schizoaffective Disorders and Schizophrenia: Employ a person-centered approach to support those with complex thought and mood disorders.
- OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder): Understand and address the specific needs associated with OCD.
- Psychosis and Perceptual Disturbances: Provide assistance for individuals experiencing perceptual challenges and episodes of psychosis.
- Performing Personal Cares & Emotional Support: Deliver compassionate care while respecting individual dignity.
- Drug and Alcohol: Provide specialised support for individuals with a history of drug and alcohol use.
- ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder): Provide support for individuals with ADHD, considering their unique needs.
Location:
This role will involve working across multiple locations, including
- Forrest Lakes,
- Boronia Heights,
- Browns Plains,
- Logan,
- Eagleby, and
- Calamvale.
A range of shifts will be available, including day shifts, sleepover shifts, and active night shifts. Large amounts of hours available
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must have:
- Extensive Experience:A proven track record in complex mental health support work, with a focus on the mentioned conditions.
- Empathy and Understanding: A compassionate approach to working with individuals facing diverse mental health challenges. PERSON CENTRED APPROACH
- Adaptability: The ability to tailor your support to the unique needs of each individual.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to foster positive interactions with clients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid NDIS worker Screening card
- Drivers license and car availbe for use
