Join us as our new Survey Shared Services Coordinator

We are looking for another member to join our Survey and Positioning Team in Houston, Texas. Our working environment consists of highly educated, skilled, positive, innovative, and enthusiastic employees.

In this role you will support the Survey and Positioning Managers through the creation and the enhancement of the Shared Service by working closely with stakeholders to ensure objectives are completed on schedule and on budget, provide tendering, planning, preparation, execution, and reporting in support of the Shared Service objectives. The role will also be required to assist with technical developments including the analysis of new and the integration of emerging technologies and ensure work undertaken on shared service projects is professionally executed in compliance with company and client standards, safety, and quality metrics.

Requirements

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Being part of a Global team to aid the integration to One DOF
  • Working with numerous Team members from different Regions and areas of expertise to achieve the following:
    • Remote Survey operations - Extend and expand our remote service offering with systems and workflows developed for inter-regional sharing of resources
    • Standardization - Global consolidation of our methodologies, procedures, and training
    • Submitting concepts and following through to testing, integration and adoption into common practice
    • Work towards successful completion and maintenance of Shared Service Strategic Activities
    • Providing tendering, planning, preparation, execution, and reporting in support of the Shared Service objectives
  • Ensuring work undertaken on shared service projects is professionally executed in compliance with company and client standards, safety, and quality metrics

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Surveying in the offshore construction environment
  • Bachelor’s degree level in Geomatics, or Marine Sciences, or Engineering
  • Able to obtain appropriate offshore medical and offshore survival certificates (minimal offshore days expected)
  • Experienced in Project and Vessel mobilizations
  • Broad understanding of Survey and Geomatics principles and/or subsea inspection practices
  • Good understanding of industry guidelines and specifications, such as IMCA and IOGP

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge in Offshore Survey and deep-water positioning systems with specialization in USBL, LBL, INS and Multibeam
  • Exposure or working knowledge in jumper metrology measurements
  • Working knowledge in networking and interfacing
  • Strong communication, Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to document, write procedures, technical work instructions and reporting
  • Strong planning, multitasking, preparation and organizational skills.

This is primarily an onshore role, although vessel mobilisation and offshore phases may be required in support of delivering new methodologies and systems in support of the Shared Services
