The RoleOur
Swim Schools pride themselves on focusing on our customers' needs and providing a more personal experience. Unlike bigger aquatic centres, we have a small team, and we believe in looking after them. Your efforts will never go unnoticed, and your performance will always be acknowledged. This is a permanent part time 28 hours to the opportunity of full time 38 hours and the successful candidate will work one weekend day.We are looking for a qualified and experienced Venue Manager who:
- is passionate and enthusiastic about learn to swim and keen to build a career in the swimming industry
- has great customer service skills and uses a positive attitude to foster relationships with children, parents, and staff
- is a leader who is driven to achieve their goals
Key AccountabilityAs our venue manager, your key responsibilities will be:
- Having a thorough understanding of the our Swim Schools model, including lesson plans, levels, activities, and operations
- Managing end to end operations of the Swim School, including front desk/reception duties, lesson scheduling, pool and plant operations and maintenance, rostering, and staff management
- To effectively supervise including the rostering of all delegated program delivery staff
- Achieving KPI targets around set budgets and enrolment numbers
- Proactively driving local area marketing and managing leads and enquiries
- Maintaining customer relationships
Skills & Attributes- Outgoing, friendly personality with excellent customer service and engagement skills
- Need to be a strong leader and lead from example
- Friendly, helpful, and energetic work style
- Prior management experience, ideally within the swimming/leisure industry; experience working or running a business in an independent role is a plus
- Prior swim teaching experience (experience teaching babies and toddlers is highly desirable)
- Proven ability to achieve targets and KPIs
- The ability to manage any issues with patience and empathy
- Reliable, showing integrity and a willingness to earn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Prior team management skills
- Someone who is comfortable with LAM and growing a business
- Current CPR Certificate
- National Police Check
