About the Role
To provide high level effective communication and administrative support within a designated work area to the public and other staff of the QEII Jubilee Hospital within Metro South Health Service.
The occupant of this position is required to work a continuous shift pattern over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week.
- Answer general and patient enquiries via the telephone switch and direct the enquiries in a professional manner to appropriate areas of responsibility.
- Support the effective operation of the administration service by being responsive to changes in rostering and quickly adapting to workplace team dynamics.
- Contribute to the maintenance of an effective records management system by ensuring patient information is captured and recorded in line with current processes.
- Maintain clinical information systems by ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Participate in the Emergency Response process by receiving emergency response notifications and distributing them to the appropriate response groups, dependent on the category of emergency.
