The QEII Jubilee Hospital is looking for a Switchboard Administrator to join their team. The QEII Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services and a 24-hour Emergency Department. We are supported by local Community Health Centres at Eight Mile Plains, Mount Gravatt, Corinda and Inala. This permanent part time role is based within the Patient Administration Services at the QEII.
The occupant of this position is required to work a continuous shift pattern over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week.

About the Role
To provide high level effective communication and administrative support within a designated work area to the public and other staff of the QEII Jubilee Hospital within Metro South Health Service.
**The occupant of this position is required to work a continuous shift pattern over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week. **
Answer general and patient enquiries via the telephone switch and direct the enquiries in a professional manner to appropriate areas of responsibility.
Support the effective operation of the administration service by being responsive to changes in rostering and quickly adapting to workplace team dynamics.
Contribute to the maintenance of an effective records management system by ensuring patient information is captured and recorded in line with current processes.
Maintain clinical information systems by ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
Participate in the Emergency Response process by receiving emergency response notifications and distributing them to the appropriate response groups, dependent on the category of emergency.
