Access theAbout us:Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment. The other primary hospitals within the health service are Gladstone, Emerald, Yeppoon, and Biloela together with many smaller rural units transfer patients through to Rockhampton for specialist care and investigation.About the role:Provide and maintain a highly responsive and effective Switchboard communication service to Rockhampton Hospital and Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) staff, clients, and the community.About you:The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Work 48 hours per fortnight (6 x 8 hour shifts per fortnight), rostered as morning, afternoon and night shifts.
- Ability to exercise personal judgement and initiative in the provision of efficient telecommunication services including problem resolution and emergent response.
- High level of experience and knowledge of general office and reception duties, preferably within a Health Care environment.
- Maintain discretion, exercise judgment where necessary to resolve problems within the scope of your role in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and effectively establish and foster networks across the facility to assist in streamlining daily processes.
- A salary between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h.
