Switchboard Design Engineer

We are actively hiring for a new and exciting opportunity for a Switchboard Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer with RPEQ status to join our client's team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, Review, & monitor compliance of electrical & communication construction works to ensure that the project scope is delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
• Develop and administer construction planning and programme including short range & intermediate activities for delivery of construction works in accordance with baseline schedule.
• Undertake cost controlling and estimating, verify subcontractors claims and variations.
• Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report progress, issues and status to the Project Manager
• Maintain drawing register, site drawings and sub-contractor drawing compliance audits.
• Perform site inspections with consultants, clients and 3rd parties for all aspects of project electrical & communications systems.
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of electrical, communication & rail systems.
• Develop, implement & monitor electrical quality management inspection & test plans
• Inspect, monitor and report electrical non-compliances.

Job requirements

• Bachelor Degree in either Electrical Engineering - Electrical, Electronics, or Power and/control 
• RPEQ status is highly advantageous 
• Custom Switchboard knowledge and a clear understanding of AS/NZS61439 and AS/NZS3000 standards is viewed highly.
