Our Vacation Program

As a Vacation Student in the Indirect Tax team, you will get a head start on your career by obtaining valuable practical experience during your university break.

In our Indirect Taxdivision, we specialise in:

• Providing advice on a range of Indirect Tax issues (GST, Payroll tax, Stamp duty, Fuel Tax Credits and Land Tax);
• Drafting ruling requests and submissions and assisting clients with lodgement obligations with revenue offices;
• Ability to work independently in a client facing role, working as the dedicated point of contact;
• Working collaboratively with other divisions in RSM on joint engagements;
• Building and maintaining a strong technical knowledge in Indirect tax;
• Communicate with the ATO, including resolving administrative issues and handling general ATO queries.

When does it start?

Depending on the division you apply for, the vacation program will start in late 2024 or early 2025.

The Indirect Tax team at RSM are interested in motivated and enthusiastic Vacation Students who possess the following skillsets and experiences:

• Penultimate year students completing Commerce/Law degree with Accounting/Business Law majors.
• Willingness to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment;
• Strong problem-solving skills as well as an enthusiasm to learn;
• A can-do attitude and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
