The VMware Administrator is required assist with the management of VMware virtual environment as per the direction from the technical lead and manager. Canberra Based at Brindabella Park. Overview of Responsibilities The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4 Specific Criteria:
Knowledge and experience in Authentication and Authorisation technologies. (experience with Red Hat IPA is preferred)
Understanding of various protocols (i.e. DNS, DHCP, NTP) and proxies (i.e. web proxies).
Experience in one of the following preferred technologies:
Software defined storage technologies.
Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service
Platform-as-a-Service
Container technologies
Splunk
Elastic Search
Demonstrated Qualities:
Design, install and maintain all server hardware and software systems.
Conduct Linux systems administration including Operating System installation, configuration, integration, hardening, software and patch management and documentation of Cyber Security Capability.
System patching including Red Hat Ansible, Red Hat Satellite automation, configuration management and deployment tools.
Design, develop and maintain all system tools for all scrips and automation processes and monitor system capacity and usage.
Identify and analyse system performance issues, work in consultation with relevant stakeholders to recommend and implement remediation actions.

Security Prerequisite Must hold either a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded). Candidates with a current Defence Intelligence Agency recognised Psychological Assessment (PA) preferred but not essential.
