Due to our continued growth we are now looking to add an experienced Systems Analyst to our team. Working closely with the Business Systems Administrator, the Systems Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining and optimising Escient’s IT solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless operation of all our software platforms and technologies (operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems and software, etc). Additionally, the role contributes to project management efforts within the business systems team, enabling faster and smarter business processes while providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft 365 & Azure systems, including Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Office 365, ensuring optimal performance, reliability & security.
- Configure, and update software applications and operating systems across the organisation.
- Support and maintain the BYOD environment, including and support for various operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the employees to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor platform network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups, to ensure data integrity and security and automate audits.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect against threats such as malware, phishing, and unauthorised access.
- Manage and protect Escient’s IP assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement IT solutions that meet business requirements.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Develop and maintain understanding of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in system administration and cybersecurity.
- Backfill and support the Business Systems Administrator including tasks related to the Salesforce platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are a plus.
- Proven experience as a System Analyst or similar role in a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and Office 365.
- Experience managing a BYOD environment, including security, and support.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with Salesforce is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
