Systems Administrator Level 2+

Our well respected and established Government client have an immediate need to boost the Azure Systems and Support / Administration Team with a competent contract resource. You will be able to Support and Administer, Patch, Upgrade Tin and Tools (if need be).

Technology is an inherent part of enabling our client’ policy and operational objectives. With the organisation depending upon their Systems being Secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the client’s Information Technology (ICT) department, and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with a most critical core ICT platform.

Reporting to the Operations Manager / Support, and working closely with other Team members, this is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of a high performing team, working alongside experienced people who are passionate about protecting the security and stability of the Technology. 

Your background

We are currently seeking strong Level 2+ experience with Windows Server, Connectivity, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Tema and M365 Tools.

We don’t expect you to know everything, but if you do that is great. What we are expecting is a desire to continue to grow your skills and capability in the areas we have mentioned and our client will supply the exposure.

To be successful in this critical role you will:

• Grow further in Azure automation skills and experience utilising your Azure Certifications (and a desire to learn new skills of course).
• You are expected to embrace and help take the team from manual builds and maintenance to efficient and effective automation and orchestration in collaboration with other IT teams
• Solid or emerging understanding of Azure Tools (Future path to DevOps)
• Solid knowledge of Virtualisation Technologies (VMware) is desirable
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and/or Microsoft Windows Server operating system is a key
• Azure SharePoint Exchange, teams and M365
• Understanding of the build and security hardening of server operating systems
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks
• Relevant Australian degree qualifications
