Your new role
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for prioritising, planning, and coordinating all testing activities. Working independently, under the general direction and guidance of the Chief Technology Officer, and by following set guidelines and processes, the Quality Assurance Analyst will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Ensure unit tests have been created and performed by developers before any functional testing commences.
- Provide feedback on undertaken tests and answer questions from developers and stakeholders.
- Undertake work within provided timeframes and report changes or issues.
- Actively participate in improving QA processes and procedures.
- Escalate critical issues.
- Help to resolve support issues passed on by the Support Team.
- Follow internal testing standards and procedures.
- Updating existing Knowledge Base articles with any functional changes, create new Knowledge Base articles where appropriate.
- Act as an ambassador for Rental Car Manager at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Complete special or ad hoc assignments from time to time in response to the needs of Rental Car Manager and/or upon direction.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the below skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Computer related degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Demonstrated PC software knowledge.
- Experience in writing non-technical, easy to follow user facing documentation.
- Knowledge of wide range of products and technologies in the testing software market.
- Experience in system testing, regression and acceptance testing would be beneficial.
- Some knowledge of automation tools.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams to deliver on a range of objectives and deadlines.
- Methodical and accurate, showing great attention to detail.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Dedicated, positive and enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude.
- Autonomous and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated dynamic problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the car rental industry (highly desired).
