Systems And Security Engineer

• Based at Thomas Embling Hospital

About the role:

• Provide secure network and IT systems configuration.
• Work with the senior IT officers to provide technical advice and support.
• Facilitate and participate in relevant working parties or other professional forums to ensure the cross fertilisation of ideas to inform the Systems and infrastructure planning processes within Forensicare.
• Ensure the integration of 3rd party software interfaces such as RAPID/CMI and RiskMan between Forensicare and relevant external sites.
• In conjunction with Forensicare’s Cloud Administrator, ensure Microsoft 365 configuration aligns with Forensicare’s security requirements.
• Ensure network security systems are maintained.
• Undertake IT network administration and support.
• Maintain all required system architecture documentation.
• Ensure management and remediation of security vunerabilities and IOCs.
• Administer SharePoint online.
• Actively participate in regular staff meetings and provide IT infrastructure advice to other projects.
• Regularly report progress and issues to the Service Delivery Manager.
• Regularly report on project tasks to the Service Deivery Manager.

About you:

• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with cybersecurity, networking and IT systems with a strong, hands-on approach.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Server and Microsoft Windows technology.
• Demonstrated planning skills.
• Demonstrated record of excellence in providing customer support and IT services.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate planning and implementation activities to produce required solutions.
• Ability to implement project tasks in a timely manner and within budget.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including consultation skills.
• High level analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
