In this role, you will be:
- Working with the Technology Engineering team to deliver analysis, design, implementation, maintenance and support of technology infrastructure (network, compute and storage) deployed to Odyssey office, datacentre, AWS/Azure cloud and customer tenancies.
- Working closely with product delivery squads to deliver innovative management and automation solutions across the Odyssey IT systems landscape.
- Using your analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues to maximise the benefit of IT systems and product platform investments.
- Creating system design models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to operational teams
- Designing server and security audits in accordance with the Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategies
- Championing, and acting as a custodian of, the Odyssey’s cybersecurity framework to ensure appropriate security measures for the protection of Federal Groups information assets.
A little more about you:
- You have a proven track record in the installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows Standard Operating Environments
- You are motivated to effect change and lead technical paradigm shifts through your enthusiastic embrace of best practice methods
- You have a passion for technology and like applying creative technical solutions to solve complex problems
- You enjoy collaborating with other teams to map requirements into technical solutions
- You’ve demonstrated how automation can simplify business processes and amplify the user experience
- You have a technical background with 3 or more years of Systems Engineering or equivalent MSP experience
We'd love you to be familiar with the following:
- Windows Server/Active Directory/Group Policy
- DNS, DHCP, SCCM & Knowledge of Hyper-V and/or VMWare
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Databases, IIS, Microsoft Middleware, and PowerShell scripting
- Cloud infrastructure administration, design and support (Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure)
- Data backup, business continuity and disaster recovery solutions in a mixed environment
- Strong networking skills including remote multi-site desktop/server and network environments
- Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Octopus Deploy
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable Information Technology field
- AWS and/or Azure certifications
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
- CompTIA A+/ Network+
