Your Opportunity
As the Systems Engineer, Identity and Access Management (IAM), you will:
- Work within Enterprise Infrastructure with a focus on providing support for existing and emerging Identity and Access Management systems and processes
- Be responsible for managing continuous improvement activities across Identity and Access Management processes
- Assist in the implementation of new SAAS platforms underpinning core Identity and Access Management processes.
This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity for 12 Months.
The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt however can be negotiated to work from another TAFE Queensland campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input into the design and implementation of on-premise and Cloud based services pertaining to the IDAM system and services.
- Ensure all work is closely aligned with TAFE Queensland’s strategic vision and operational planning.
- Collaborate with functional and technical team members to develop deployment strategies for the Identity solution implementation.
- Engage and liaise with ICT resources, managed service providers and third-party vendors to ensure positive outcomes for IDAM operational and project activities.
- Co-ordinate Identity and Access Management changes with the TAFE Queensland ICT Change/Incident/Problem Manager and ensure reliability and security of IDAM system and services.
- Review and identify ways to improve performance and stability of services and applications through continuous improvement and automation.
- Develop and document processes and procedures using best practices to support the ongoing operation of the Identity and Access Management solutions.
- Identifying emerging technology solutions that reduce cost, increase efficiencies, enhance capabilities, reduce risk and improve security.
- Ensure that all Identity and Access technology actions create a positive customer experience.
- Establish strong working relationships and communicate related concepts to a broad range of technical and nontechnical clients, including key stakeholders and external consultants.
- Provide level 2 support and resolution ownership for the identity platforms including third party escalation.
- Manage incidents through to resolution pertaining to the IDAM platform and integration points.
- Contribute to project team planning activities including stand up meetings and iteration planning.
Within the context of the role description above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities: * Demonstrated understanding of key IDAM disciplines, with a strong understanding of IDAM applications and services including on-premise and cloud environments;
- Experience in communicating with business and academic stakeholders in order to understand user requirements and communicate those needs at a technical level.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while able to function autonomously to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to provide system support by managing incidents and problems using best practise methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation, including the ability to work effectively alongside outsourced delivery partners.
- Demonstrated ability to live and promote a strong ICT team culture that values the contributions of all team members, is honest and considerate, and through that contributes to a highly respected high-performance team.
- Tertiary qualification in Information and Communications Technology or demonstrated equivalent experience is highly regarded.
- IT service management (ITSM) experience including Incident, Change, Problem and Release management.
- Experience or general understanding of:
o Directory services including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory
o Federated Identity Management - and concepts such as SAML and OAuth.
o Single sign on and Multi factor Authentication.
o Knowledge and understanding of privilege Access Management concepts.
o Knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
