We have an exciting opportunity open up for a Systems Engineer to join LJ Hooker Group. As part of our Technology team, you will be assisting and supporting the LJ Hooker Group’s corporate functions in all technology needs and requirements. Responsibilities will include desktop and end user computer support, technology onboarding and offboarding, applications and infrastructure management. You will be part of a rotating on-call roster responsible for monitoring and management of critical systems as well as incidents.
Our ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, driven to help others and has practical desktop support experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills will be key to success in this role and you will work closely with our support staff, technology team and franchisee’s.
Key Responsibilities- Provide end-user support for LJ Hooker Group systems utilising our Service Desk system to assist and respond to staff members with issues and service requests
- You will utilise your in-depth knowledge of IT hardware and software platforms communicating regularly and managing customer expectations whilst adhering to SLAs
- Provide escalated support of end-user impacting issues as required for the wider technology team and as directed by the Head of Technology
- You will assist the application support team with triaging and the resolution of incidents and problems
- With support from the Head of Technology and working with the Infrastructure team you will develop, manage and deliver all technology and infrastructure
- Administer and manage Microsoft Windows server and desktop environments, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, teams, One Drive and Share Point
- Assist with the delivery and continuous improvement of Service Management Framework (ITIL)
- Assist with evaluating emerging technologies
- You will have strong AWS knowledge and associated products and services, ensuring optimal usage
- Possess knowledge of IT change management and associated policies and practices
- You are an active listener, empathic and a good communicator. You prioritise helping others and are comfortable explaining issues in person or via email/chat.
- 3+ years experience working in a technology/desktop support function with a Service Desk, SLAs and service management
- You have prior experience with Microsoft Windows server and desktop environments, Microsoft Active Directory and related services (both self-managed and Azure AD), Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online and Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
- Experience working with technology infrastructure, AWS services and management
