Systems Officer (It Operations) (12 Month Temporary Opportunity)

In this role, you'll:
• Receive and resolve computer system incidents and service requests from the service desk.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure system effectiveness.
• Rapidly respond to incidents, minimizing impact from technical changes.
• Configure and install computer hardware.
• Ensure monitoring tools operate effectively, taking corrective action as needed.
• Test software releases before deployment, keeping configurations up to date.
• Collaborate with the service desk for incident assignment accuracy.
• Provide clear and timely communication on incidents and service requests.
• Prioritize excellent customer service by proactively resolving issues.

This is a fixed term full time role for up to 12 months and is based at Parramatta with flexible ways of working.

About you
• Knowledge of VMware best practices for optimizing resource utilization and ensuring high availability is essential (preferably with VM Ware certification).
• Skilled in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft server environments.
• Familiarity with VEEAM's advanced features for application-level backups and cloud integration is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Netapp Storage administration.
• Experience with Manage Engine Ops Manager / End Point Central.
