About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our Student Financials team as a Systems Officer. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing first level support for our student administration system, in relation to financials functionality, ensuring its efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations. Your primary responsibilities will include running scheduled batch process, management of process run controls, HELP and VET Student Loans related configuration, issue resolution, data analysis, and collaboration with various teams to enhance overall service delivery. In addition, you will proactively engage with our Student Admin Management Systems support teams for escalated technical issues and assist in solution implementation.
About You
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
Demonstrated knowledge of the relationship between system set up, functionality and the associated administrative processes and practices.
Demonstrated experience understanding the connections between administrative systems and business process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to undertake system analysis and troubleshoot issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and present complex information, issues, solutions, and processes to wide ranging internal audience.
Ability to prioritise work and to manage conflicting deadlines without compromising quality.
Commitment to working as part of a team, including the ability to assist or guide others in areas of expertise.
Demonstrated customer service focus and demonstrated history of taking initiative.
Ability to work productively within an environment that is subject to process and system changes with changing operational priorities.
Qualifications
Degree in relevant discipline and/or significant experience required.
Experience within the tertiary sector and with Student systems.
Experience using Campus Solutions student systems would be highly regarded.

The Education Portfolio is led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice-President who is responsible for planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
