You will be an experienced IT professional who enjoys sharing your knowledge and skills in information technology with students who wish to have a career working in IT help desk, network administration or web-application design. You will hold formal IT qualifications (min. Cert III in Information Technology or above) as well as Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Although VU is primarily an adult learning environment you must also hold a current working with children card.About the role:
We are seeking two suitably qualified generalist IT trainers with recent industry currency to undertake training and assessment of students undertaking Certificate III in Information Technology and our Level 1 IT Support short courses within the Victorian Government's Digital Jobs program. The position will ideally suit someone who is looking to work on a part time basis (2-3 days per week) during normal business hours. TAFE at VU is an adult learning environment that prides itself for providing engaging and industry-relevant training to a diverse adult cohort.Example of Duties:
- Teaching - Facilitating activity based workshops in both on-campus and remote settings.
- Assessment - Assessing student work to determine competency in accordance with requirements of the qualification.
- Record keeping - Maintaining accurate and timely records of attendance and results.
- For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $86.90 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation.
