Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
We are seeking a highly experienced recruitment specialist to expertly manage the delivery and coordination of recruitment activities associated with the attraction, sourcing and assessment of high calibre candidates aligned to the capability requirements of Snowy Hydro's Major Projects. This role ensures our major projects teams have the talent they need, when they need it through the implementation of a strategic approach to talent management, in collaboration with key internal and external partners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Working in partnership with recruitment specialist agencies and talent sourcing providers, coordinating Talent Acquisition activities in order to support quality hiring decisions across the major projects.
Managing and tracking all Major Projects recruitment processes, applying project management methodologies to ensure the maximum efficiency, effectiveness and timeliness of all recruitment activities (including ongoing hiring activity and bulk recruitment campaigns.
Partnering with project leaders and managers to understand operational resource requirements and implementing activities and assessment methods that source and attract the right candidates.
Managing the Major Projects Talent Pipeline, including attracting candidates globally with often bespoke skills and experience, pre-qualifying potential candidates, sharing suitable candidates across the project teams, and assigning candidates to both open roles and upcoming resource needs.
Providing exceptional candidate care at all stages of the recruitment process, and keeping updated records of all candidate interactions and status changes.
Providing operational Talent Acquisition advice and support on policies and procedures that build hiring manager's capability to recruit the best resources in a timely manner.
Developing and implement reporting tools and indicators to identify insights and provide intelligence into recruitment and related activities, including time to fill, time delays/bottlenecks in recruitment steps, return on investment from sourcing platforms (e.g. job boards), and success of attraction strategies to meet diversity and inclusion targets.
Networking, building and maintaining relationships with employees, candidates, external organisations, industry bodies, educational institutions, recruitment agencies, and the renewable energy sector and proactively promote partnership opportunities to attract potential employees.
Designing and coordinating external events and information sessions to promote SHL Major Projects and attract suitable candidates that may not be otherwise actively applying for roles in the recruitment market.
We are looking for someone with:
A Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent (desirable).
A minimum of 5 years of experience in complex HR roles, with a focus on high volume recruitment and resourcing projects, preferably within the construction, engineering or energy sector.
Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Talent Acquisition principles and strategies, preferrably gained within a large scale recruitment environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven ability to build relationships at all organisational levels, both internally and externally.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating successful recruitment events and marketing activities.
The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
