We are seeking a Tax Accountantto collaborate and work as a team to achieve goals/objectives and evaluate performance effectiveness. This is a 18 Month fixed purpose contract in a Part Time Capacity. Offering 20 hours a week. It allows for flexibility with days and hours as long as they are in business hours.
As theTax Accountant you will be:
- Assisting in preparation of the group's statutory accounts to ensure accuracy and reliability of the underlying data
- Assisting for the assigned month-end balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance to set timelines
- Preparations of monthly BAS with assistance
- Working with your manager on work papers to complete annual income tax returns, transfer pricing and other tac returns in compliance with Australian and New Zealand taxation requirements, transfer pricing
In order to be considered for this opportunity you will have:
- Finance Qualification (Tafe or University) is essential (Working toward CA or CPA qualification is desirable)
- Previous experience in a corporate or commercial Tax Accounting role
- Sound understanding and practice of IFRS accounting principles
- Experience with SAP is high desirable
- Strong MS Excel skills (including Excel and Work)
- Basic understanding of accounting systems, processes and business principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
