THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Full Time.              Location: Moorabbin campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Ongoing Appointment, with a 6-month qualifying period.

The Faculty of Health Science, Community and Social Studies provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. The Community and Social Studies department is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to effectively design and teach theoretical and practical sessions, to students enrolled in the Certificate IV in Youth Work.

Embark on an enriching learning journey with us! In this position, you'll actively participate in all facets of education, including hands-on teaching, tailored assessments, and offering valuable vocational guidance to young students in our certificate IV in Youth Work. Join us in shaping their educational paths by understanding their needs and steering their training.

ABOUT YOU

  • Current industry skills and qualifications, this may include Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work or Community Services
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the units TAELLN411 & TAEASS502 or equivalent units; or
  • A strong passion for implementing modern, evidence-driven teaching and learning approaches to optimize student learning achievements.
  • Focussed on students' needs with a dedication to educational quality, adept at tailoring teaching methods to accommodate diverse support requirements in a specialized educational environment.
