About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced individual working with students who have learning disabilities, barriers to learning and or returning to study, to join the TAFE Gippsland Foundation Teaching team in the delivery of our Foundation level courses such as Certificates I & II in General Education for Adults, Work Education, Transition Education, and Skills in Vocational Pathways programs. Applicants must have extensive experience in teaching Literacy and Numeracy and be motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for sharing their knowledge, skills, and experience.
At TAFE Gippsland the role of the Teacher is to
- Share knowledge and experience in your specialist area;
- Manage the learning process to enable students to achieve their best;
- Develop and deliver relevant and industry current course material;
- Ensure that their own professional teaching and vocational competence and currency is kept up to date along with licensing requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent or willingness to obtain if successful
- Relevant vocational qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching in the special education field
- Evidence of industry currency
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police check (not older than 5 years)
- Driver’s License
- Valid Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
