We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies for early childhood and primary teachers which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Suitable applicants should be conscientious and dedicated teachers who possess a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. They will ideally be actively involved both within the school and wider community, highly reflective about their teaching practice and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation. A capacity and willingness to lead the development and delivery of school programs and priorities would be viewed favourably.
Suitable applicants should possess the professional knowledge and practices to deliver an engaging and relevant curriculum using a positive, student-focused approach, and ideally have proven success working with students across a range of ability levels, including multi-age/split year groups.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, will be highly regarded.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
