Are you an excellent teacher who wants to make a positive difference?

The School of Special Educational Needs: Medical and Mental Health (SSEN:MMH) is seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies, which may arise during the 2025 school year, at various campuses across the Greater Perth metropolitan area.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher with SSEN: MMH you will be a highly valued member of a team providing quality education to students whose physical or mental health presents difficulties in accessing their usual educational program.  The co-teaching environment in any of our programs is diverse and dynamic on any given day, as you support individualised student needs within multi-age groups. Suitable applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you work with various other staff within and beyond education. Meeting the needs of all students requires staff to work collectively with others, being open to their opinions and perspectives to achieve positive student outcomes.

It is a role that necessitates a breadth and depth of primary curriculum and pedagogical knowledge. This role will suit self-reflective, motivated teachers with outstanding classroom teaching practice and a range of experiences teaching across subject areas as well as differentiating teaching to cater for student diversity. Our staff make use of multi modal learning approaches to achieve student outcomes and to engage students in active student learning. As a culturally responsive and inclusive school one of your key priorities should include providing all students with opportunities to achieve success through education.

Permanent teachers in other locations within the Department of Education, who would like to work at our school and retain their substantive position, can apply. If this interests you please discuss with your principal or line manager before applying.
