St. James PrimaryBanora Point is seeking an innovative, energetic educator with a commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education and student-centred learning.  St. James’ School has 400 students who are educated by dedicated teachers and caring parents in a co-responsible manner.  Banora Point is situated in Tweed Heads.

We invite suitably qualified teachers to apply for the following position:

TEACHER Year 1 [Term 3 - 2024]

Full time temporary position [replacing a teacher who is on approved leave] commencing July 22nd, 2024.

Applicants must: 

• hold a current NSW Working with Children Check
• have full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)
• comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Criteria: 

• have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
• able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community
• understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the ability to differentiate and provide for a diverse range of ability
• a commitment to excellence as a classroom teacher
• willing to teach any class level from K-6
• effective classroom practice that fosters independent learners
