About the team
College Services provides academic administration and technical support services to the University’s schools, including Heads of School, academic staff and research students. The team is committed to providing effective and efficient services in support of the Schools’ and
University’s strategic objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice. The Schools Operations team provides academic support services and general administrative support to the University’s Schools.

About the opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Teaching Operations Officer to join our dedicated team. As a Teaching Operations Officer, you'll have the chance to expand your skill set and knowledge base through exposure to diverse tasks and interaction with various schools. This role offers a platform for continuous learning and development, enhancing your professional capabilities.

Reporting to the Team Leader (Teaching Operations), you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching programs of our schools. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of our academic services while enjoying a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to teaching programs, including student assessment, exams, timetabling, and class allocations.
  • Manage various administrative tasks such as LMS administration, preparation of teaching materials, and support for specific programs.
  • Coordinate office systems and policies to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver high-quality service provision and adapt to changing demands.
  • Respond to inquiries with professionalism and initiative, providing accurate information and guidance.
  • Contribute to the implementation of workflow improvements and best practices.

About you
To be considered for these opportunities, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Substantial administrative experience at an appropriate level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in various computing skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
