The Role
We require a generalist teacher who can facilitate learning across Stages 5 and 6, in a range of curriculum areas. Our teachers construct individual learning journeys for students by:
- Having deep knowledge of every learner,
- Leading measurable growth for every learner,
- Leading a safe, supporting learning environment, and
- Working professionally.
Our teachers maximise engagement in the classroom through evidence-based teaching strategies and facilitating cross-curricular learning experiences. We utilise the Berry Street Education Model and restorative practices, not just with our learners, but with our colleagues as well.
Novo Education Space currently has two vacant positions at our campuses on the beautiful South Coast of NSW.
Multiple Locations (Commencing in Term 1 / 2 2024)
- 1 x Wollongong Permanent, Full-Time Teacher
- 1 x Shellharbour Permanent, Full-Time Teacher (Location subject to NESA Approval)
- Casual vacancies available.
Teaching positions are in accordance with our WEA Illawarra Enterprise Agreement 2019, Schedule C (Band 1 – Band 3, subject to NESA accreditation).

Novo Education Space is an independent Special Assistance School for Years 9-12. Our purpose is to foster the development of capable, confident, and self-assured young people who are connected to their community and able to forge a path to a productive future. Our work is student-centred within an innovative, flexible, small school environment.
Novo Education Space is operated by WEA Illawarra, which is a not-for-profit Community College, Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Public Benevolent Institution.
