Why this role matters The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment, and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.

Oasis Youth Services provide safe and secure accommodation and professional support for young people who are homeless, by establishing rapport and providing individual, flexible support through a person centred framework . About the role We are seeking a values-driven and proactive to Team Leader to run the day to day Transitional accommodation service.

The successful applicant will supervise and support a team of casual and permanent Youth Workers, Case Managers and allied health professionals . Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Chisholm, ACT. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 6.

You will successfully Support the Case Managers to deliver best practice client-centred, holistic Case Management support to clients.

Actively acquire, develop and maintain a good working knowledge of accommodation and support options within The Salvation Army's Youth Homelessness Ecosystem and external agencies, and work collaboratively and professionally with other agencies. Supervise and work within a team that empowers staff and recognises and acknowledges individual skills.

Share knowledge and expertise to support Case Managers with challenging young people. Lead and participate in all team activities.

Identify and action all staff professional learning and development opportunities as set out in their annual goals. Schedule, lead and document all staff meetings activities. Support the Regional Manager with contract reporting requirements, monthly management reports, financial acquittals of Petty Cash / Case Manager Credit Cards, WHS reporting and management and recruitment activities.

You will have Tertiary qualifications (Minimum Degree / Diploma level) in Youth Work, Social Work or related field.

ACT Working with Vulnerable People Certification. Current ACT Driver License.

Current Senior First Aid Certification. Experience in supervising medium to large teams.

Computer skills – Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn database programs. An understanding, empathy, appreciation and the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
